The Chase is coming to NZ!

TVNZ has announced a four-episode special of The Chase New Zealand, set to be filmed in Sydney. It’ll follow the classic format, with Kiwi contestants facing off against pro quizzers, including the possibility of going up against “The Governess” Anne Hegerty from the UK version.

Casting is open now, so if you think you’re switched on. Go give it a crack!

No host or air date has been revealed yet, but with two-thirds of Kiwis tuning in last year, you can bet this will be a popular one.

Bay Oval to Host Trans-Tasman T20 Throwdown

Cricket fans, get ready! The Black Caps are taking on Australia in a T20 series right here at Bay Oval this October.

Tauranga’s scored the opening match of the 2025/26 summer season, and Mayor Mahé Drysdale reckons it’s a huge win for the city, both for showcasing our region and boosting the local economy.

Last year’s test against England brought in over $4 million in visitor spend, so this one's expected to make a decent splash too.

Dates will be confirmed in June, but Aussie and Kiwi fans can start planning. Plus, Bay Oval’s got even more action coming with the Chiefs facing the Western Force on Anzac Day, their first Tauranga game in over a decade.

Cricket, footy, and coastal vibes… it’s all happening 🌴🔥
